Tyre Public Sandy Beach & Coast Nature Reserve

Coastal tourism zone, south of Tyre, Coast & Mountains·4.4(1,400)·$$$$

About

Stretching south of the old city, this is the longest continuous sandy beach in Lebanon and part of a 380-hectare Ramsar-listed nature reserve. Loggerhead and green sea turtles nest here from May to July, with hatchlings emerging August to October, while the shallow warm water draws families all summer. Access to the sand is free, though seasonal beach setups charge a modest fee for shade and sunbeds.
