Al Shouf Cedar Reserve - Barouk Cedar Forest
About
The Barouk entrance opens into the biggest of the Al Shouf Biosphere Reserve's cedar forests, over 400 hectares of Cedrus libani, some trees estimated at up to 2,000 years old. Well-marked trails of varying length climb through the cedars to ridge viewpoints and a hill lake with a wildlife hide; a visitor point offers information, restrooms and organic products. Entry is roughly $5 for Lebanese and $10 for other visitors, with summer opening around 10:00-18:00.
