Mar Mikhael & Armenia Street
Mar Mikhael (Medawar), Beirut·4.5(1,400)·$$$$
About
Stretching along Armenia Street northeast of Gemmayzeh, Mar Mikhael grew from an Armenian refugee quarter into Beirut's hippest creative strip. By day it is old balconies, coffee roasters and design studios; by night its bars and restaurants fill with the city's young crowd. Badly hit by the 2020 port blast, it has largely rebuilt and remains a defining Beirut walk and night out.
