Founded by roaster Dalia Jaffal, Kalei is a specialty micro-roastery set in a 1950s house in Mar Mikhael, with a leafy garden, resident cats and beans sourced directly from growers. It is a calm escape for pour-overs, espresso and brunch away from the traffic. Baristas roast on site in a glass-walled room beside the café.
