About
Founded in 1993 by Mounir and Diana Abi-Said, Animal Encounter is a refuge in Aley that cares for more than 25 species of rescued wild and domestic animals. Visitors join guided tours that teach children about Lebanon's biodiversity, from hyenas and owls to tortoises, and how to protect it. The center also runs school visits and summer camps by reservation.
