Faytroun Pine Forests & Summer Village
About
Faytroun is one of Lebanon's leading summer resorts, sitting at about 1,200 m in the Keserwan hills 33 km north of Beirut, where pine forest and cool air draw families escaping the coastal heat. The village has an 18th-century Church of Saint George, an old citadel with wells, and a cluster of hotels and mountain restaurants. Come for shaded picnics, easy forest walks and mild summer evenings.
