Our Lady of Zahle (Saydet el Talle)
Tel Chiha hill, Zahle, Zahle & the Bekaa·4.5(360)·$$$$
About
Zahle's most visible landmark is a 54-metre marble-clad tower topped by a 10-metre bronze statue of the Virgin Mary, standing on the hill of Tel Chiha. An elevator carries pilgrims and visitors to a viewing platform with sweeping panoramas over the red-roofed town and the Bekaa plain, while a chapel seating about 100 sits at the base. Inaugurated in its present form in 2005, it draws both worshippers and sightseers.
