About
Raised between 1294 and 1315 on the site of a Crusader church, the Mansouri Great Mosque was the first monument of Mamluk Tripoli and remains the city's principal Friday mosque. Its serene arcaded courtyard, honey-stone minaret and reused medieval doorway reward a quiet visit. Modest dress is required and visitors should avoid prayer times.
