About
Inside the Jabal Moussa Biosphere Reserve, the Chouwen (Chouwan) trail drops through pine and oak forest to a jade-green pool on the Adonis River (Nahr Ibrahim). It's a moderate walk of about 1.8 km each way, roughly 50 minutes down, with a noticeably steeper climb back; in summer many hikers swim in the cold pools. Carry water and small cash for the reserve entry fee.
