Karam Wines — Jezzine's Mountain Winery
About
Founded in 2002 by former airline captain Habib Karam in his hometown of Jezzine, Karam Wines was the first winery in South Lebanon, with vineyards climbing to about 1,400 m and facing the Mediterranean. Tours cover the family story and the winemaking process before a tutored tasting of the full range of fresh, mineral wines and arak; the tasting fee is waived if you buy wine. Open year-round by appointment, with the option of a vineyard lunch or dinner.
