Al Shouf Cedar Reserve - Maasser el Shouf Cedar Forest
About
Above the UNESCO-praised 'zero-pollution' village of Maasser el Shouf lies the smallest but oldest of the reserve's three cedar forests, home to the Shouf Cedar Society's main office. The Maasser cultural-heritage trail (around 20 km, roughly 6 hours, moderate to difficult) links cedars, springs and old terraces, while shorter loops suit lighter walks. A wooden visitor hut provides information, restrooms and local products.
