At the northern edge of Jezzine, the town's river spills over the escarpment and drops about 90 metres into the pine-filled Bisri valley, making it one of the tallest waterfalls in Lebanon. Clifftop viewpoints and terraces line the rim, and the flow is strongest from late winter into spring. Jezzine is nicknamed the 'City of Falls' after this landmark.
