Rising above Baskinta, Mount Sannine is Lebanon's third most prominent peak, its bare limestone crown holding snow late into spring. The classic hike climbs from the Nabaa Sannine spring to a summit that opens onto a 360° panorama — Beirut and the Mediterranean on one side, Zaarour, Sannine's plateaus and the Bekaa on the other — with a small fourth-century church near the top. Best walked June to October, it is one of the Metn's great high-mountain excursions.
