Inaugurated in 2007, the Chabrouh Dam holds back a shimmering reservoir cradled among bare limestone peaks just above Faraya village. In summer the lakeshore is a favourite for easy walks, photography and picnics, while fitter visitors climb the surrounding ridges for a full view of the 63-metre dam and valley. Entry is free and the site is open through the day.
