El Mina's revamped waterfront is Lebanon's longest coastal promenade, a wide walk-and-cycle path where Tripolitan families gather at sunset for corn carts, argileh and sea air. It runs past the old fishing harbour, colourful boats and the Mamluk-era Lion Tower, with fish restaurants and cafes lining the shore. Boats to the Palm Islands also leave from here in summer.
