About
Declared a reserve in 2010, the Chnaniir forest crowns a Keserwan hill at 650–850 m, rich in wild pine, oak and strawberry trees, just ten minutes off the Jounieh highway. Three marked trails of varying difficulty lead toward the Hriq summit, where a 360-degree panorama takes in Beirut, Jounieh Bay and Amchit. It is an easy, uncrowded nature escape close to the coast.
