Stone of the Pregnant Woman (Hajar al-Hibla)
Baalbek Quarry, Zahle & the Bekaa·4.5(350)·Free
About
A short walk from the Baalbek temples, the ancient quarry holds the Stone of the Pregnant Woman, a single carved block nearly 21 metres long weighing around 1,000 tons, plus an even larger stone unearthed nearby. Left unmoved two thousand years ago, it is a free, open-air stop that makes the scale of Baalbek's builders astonishingly real. Great for photos; visit in daylight.
