Domaine des Tourelles
About
Founded in Chtaura in 1868 by French engineer François-Eugène Brun, Domaine des Tourelles is the oldest commercial wine and arak house in Lebanon, still using historic equipment on display in its little museum. Visits walk you through the winemaking and distilling process and end with a tasting of wines, the celebrated Arak Brun and gin under a large shade tree. It is an intimate, low-key alternative to the bigger châteaux.
