About
In the canyon village of Niha, about 18km north of Zahle, an archaeological park maintained by the Department of Antiquities preserves two Roman temples built between the 1st and 3rd centuries AD and dedicated to local Bekaa deities. The larger temple still shows Corinthian columns and a monumental staircase against a backdrop of steep hills. Two more ruined temples, Hosn Niha, lie a rough 2km climb above the village for the more adventurous.
