Tannourine Cedar Forest Nature Reserve
About
This 195-hectare reserve protects nearly a million cedars, some over a thousand years old, on a karst plateau around 1,500 to 1,900 m. A network of well-marked loop trails winds past ancient trees, limestone cliffs and grottos, with cool air and sweeping views even at the height of summer. It is an Important Bird Area and a key corridor for migrating eagles and other soaring birds.
