Aaqoura–Roueiss Waterfalls Trail
About
Above the sprawling mountain town of Aaqoura, this trail follows a branch of the Nahr Ibrahim past the Roueiss springs, one of the river's main sources, through green oak-and-pine forest to a chain of waterfalls and clear pools. The roughly 7 km route (about 1,150–1,450 m) also passes old chapels and stretches of Roman road, and hikers cool off with a swim along the way. It is a wilder, less-crowded alternative to the valley's better-known swimming spots.
