Qadisha Valley Hike (Holy Valley)

From Bcharre a marked path drops into the Qadisha (Kadisha) Valley, one of the world's oldest Christian monastic landscapes and UNESCO-listed since 1998. A popular loop of about 7 km links Mar Lishaa, the valley floor and the patriarchal monastery of Deir Qannoubine, threading terraced gardens, springs and rock chapels. It is steep in places and best walked from April to November.
