Our Lady of the Sea Church (Saydet el Bahr)
Al Saydeh Quarter, Batroun, Batroun·4.7(540)·Free
About
This tiny Greek Orthodox chapel from around 1860 sits right on the water in Batroun's old quarter, built over an earlier Byzantine church behind the famous Phoenician sea wall. An arched belvedere and columned terrace frame postcard views of the Mediterranean, especially at sunset. Golden icons inside date to the 1860s, adding to its quiet, timeless charm.
