Ehmej Cedars & Oak Forest Trails
About
High in the Jbeil hinterland, Ehmej is cloaked in forest across some 70% of its land, including the ancient Azr oak woodland and stands of cedar. Twelve marked trails fan out from the village, linking to the Lebanon Mountain Trail, the Baatara sinkhole and the Jaj cedar reserve, with options for day treks, camping and, in winter, snowshoeing. Spring brings wildflowers, including the rare Iris sofarana.
