Lehfed Heritage Village

Lehfed, Jbeil, Byblos / Jbeil·4.5(210)·Free

About

At about 1,000 m in the Jbeil highlands, Lehfed is a historic Maronite village that once sheltered a patriarch and served as a cliff refuge against Ottoman rule. Its hilltop church, said to stand on a Phoenician temple and later a Crusader stronghold, is covered in finely engraved stone crosses. Quiet lanes, old houses and valley views make it a rewarding off-the-beaten-track stop.
