Set in the former Mar Sarkis monastery carved into the rock above Bcharre, the museum holds 440 original paintings and drawings by Gibran Khalil Gibran, author of 'The Prophet', along with his New York studio furniture, private manuscripts and his tomb. Sixteen rooms across three floors trace the life of Lebanon's most celebrated poet-artist. His sister Mariana bought the site after his death in 1931.
