About
The painter Jamil Molaeb (born 1948) built this museum between 2011 and 2015 beside his childhood home and atelier in the Aley-district village of Baissour. It gathers his own paintings, mosaics and stone sculptures together with a collection of nineteenth- and twentieth-century Lebanese masters. Each summer the house hosts the Molaeb Festival of chamber music and fine arts; visits are otherwise by appointment.
