About
One of the last surviving groves of the biblical Lebanon cedar, protected on the slopes of Mount Makmel above 2,000 m and inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1998. A short marked loop winds between towering, centuries-old trees, a small chapel and a nursery of replanted saplings. Guided walks help protect the fragile forest floor.
