Couvent Rouge Winery
About
Set in the heart of Deir el Ahmar with sweeping views over the northern Bekaa, Couvent Rouge grew out of the Coteaux Heliopolis co-op to buy local grapes at fair prices and offer farmers an alternative to cannabis. Using organic, Fairtrade-certified fruit from some of the Middle East's highest vineyards, it makes everything from the easy-drinking Petit Couvent to structured oak-aged reds. Visits and tastings are welcomed by arrangement.
