Jezzine Cutlery Workshops & Old Souk
Jezzine, Coast & Mountains·4.3(55)·$$$$
About
Jezzine has been famous since 1770 for hand-forged cutlery topped with a carved 'firebird' or phoenix handle of inlaid bone and brass, sold in the town's restored old souk ('el sedd'). Only a handful of families still master the craft, working each piece by hand from blade to handle. Browsing the workshops is a window into a Lebanese heritage trade that is now increasingly rare.
