About
Standing on a small promontory at the south-western tip of the Tyre peninsula, this white stone lighthouse dates from around 1912 and still marks the ancient Phoenician shoreline. It sits a short walk from the Christian Quarter and the old fishing harbour, past the little alleys of the old town. The surrounding rocks are one of Tyre's most photographed sunset viewpoints.
