About

Ghazir is a leafy Keserwan town 27 km north of Beirut, laid out in old Lebanese stone houses, churches and a small traditional souk with sea-and-mountain views. Its landmark is the Monastery of Saint Anthony of Padua at Khashbao, built by the Lebanese Maronite Order in 1752 with a grand 1820 church, and today the Order's headquarters. Wander the lanes for heritage architecture and the quiet courtyards of its convents.
